Question posted from lane
I suffer and contend with chronic pain in arm, shoulder & elbow for many years.
Doctor advises the only solution to my pain management is surgery.
I read or heard somewhere that administered spankings may provide relief from chronic pain.
I have tried heat, cold, massage & Chiropracter to address the chronic pain and these methods have helped. However overtime the effectiveness of these methods have diminished.
At this point I will consider any method to relive the pain and to avoid surgery.

Well, I’ve known spanking to achieve excellent therapeutic results - it’s a great stress-reliever, for a start - but I can’t quite see how it would relieve chronic arm pain.
On the other hand, you might well try giving your g/f (or b/f) spankings as a therapeutic form of arm exercise. And even if it didn’t work, it could be a lot of fun….

Why wouldn’t you have the surgery? If your in that much pain for so many years and there is a way to stop it, why wouldn’t you? I don’t understand. I’ve been in chronic pain for 8+ years but there is no surgery that will cure mine, I only wish. Your lucky that there is something that can be done. DO IT!

Go for the surgery and be thankful they are offering it. Some of us are not lucky enough for such a easy way out. I would let them cut me open right now if there was even just a little chance it would help with the pain in my back and legs. Screw the spanking thing too, it’s like all the other things you have already tried. I am sure if someone knocked you up side the head than that would out weigh the pain in your shoulder for a short period of time.

Spanking or flogging for therapeutic pain relief is actually well known in the spanko lifestyle. Intense or prolonged spanking plays leads to a state referred to as “subspace.” This is an endorphin rush triggered by the pain centers in the brain, and is similar in function to a “runner’s high.” The effect is mildly euphoric, but works as a natural pain reliever for conditions that can’t easily be treated by other means.
One such condition is fibromyalgia. I’ve known ten or so spankos that have used spanking as a way to control the sometimes debilitating pain that the condition causes. By comparison, I’ve met ZERO fibro sufferers outside of the spanking scene. By being spanked or flogged to an endorphin release, they are able to have some control over the pain, allowing them to function normally for a few days.

You may just want to have the surgery or consider having a Spinal Cord Stimulator (SCS) put in so that you won’t have to deal with the pain. Many people that suffer from Chronic Pain are able to relieve almost all or all of their pain with an SCS I have had one implanted, and it relieves about 70%80% of my pain in my leg. It may help to look into something like this…it does require surgery, but the results can be incredible. is a good website to get more info about an SCS.

If you are a person that is able to achive subspace, it is very possible to block out all pain…for the time you are in subspace. I doubt that would be able to replace any need for surgery though.

A spanking can also be used as a theraputic treatment for many soft tissue ailments.
This due to the fact a spanking is simply a another form of avery harsh massage which promotes the body to release pain killing endorphins.
Though painfull during its application, the numbing pain killing effect of a spanking massage treatment can last for days or weeks which many find very beneficial.

I was surprised to find what you’re saying to be true. Maybe due to endorphins released? Not sure, but I found relief to last up to six weeks, and interestingly spanking only worked if a flat implement was used.

You should notice your life stlye, what is supposed to be the cause of the pain and try not to do it. You may harm your shoulder or elbow unintentionally.

I have read many reports of the successful use of spanking prescribed by Russian doctors for a variety of ailments. A rattan cane is their preferred instrument for this form of massage, but from personal experience I would recommend a good long warm up first with a leather paddle before the more intense application of the cane. The cumulative effect is surprisingly enjoyable - go for it!
You can find numerous references to the Russian scientific research by entering such terms as “Russia”, “endorphin” and “depression” on a search engine. It is found so effective and popular that their medical service is now charging for repeat prescriptions.

You may try curing by herb. How about pinpointed treatment? Maybe this will help.

Lane,
I have chronic pain too. I had two Arthroscopic knee surgeries with cartilage removed. I also injured my lower back years ago. I used to use high dose Ibuprofen but that raised blood pressure, for a while my doctor had me use Oruvail, and eventually he put me on Celebrex, 200 mg twice a day. When that was blamed for causing heart problems he had me reduce dose to 100 mg and if one was enough, just once, else twice. A side benefit of Celebrex was that I had jammed my index finger into a car radio pushbutton abd it hurt like heck thereafter and nobody but nobody could offer any help what to do about it, and Celebrex is the only thing that usually cleared that finger pain completely, most of the time.
I’m also a “spanko” and was actually searching on endorphin and spanking when I found this blog. Yo could invest in a spanking machine to experiment - if interested email me about it (you’re the admin, right?) - and you could go to the spankfinder.com site and sign up and see if there is anyone near you that would be interested in helping you experiment. (If you are not the Admin here and do not have access to my email, look for me on the sF site with same user name and sarch for that profile name and send a message.)

I have scaitica and have chronic low back and leg pain and have tried everything to cure the pain, but have found no relief with traditional methods.
While in Turkey I visited a turkish bath house and received a intersecting wet towel tapotement massage which worked wonders.
Basically I layed nude on a massage table and the masseuse rotated very hot and very cold water soaked thick turkish towels and slapped my lower back and legs firmly.
Though the massage is rather uncomfortable during its application, my back felt great moments after its completion and left my back feeling great for a whole week.
The masseuse basically told me the heavy duty nature of the massage releases pain killing endorphins short and long term within the body which explains how it helped reduce my back pain.
The beauty of this treatment is you do not have to go to a turkish bath house to have it administered, all you need is some towels soaked in hot and cold water and some one willing to slap you with them and your good to go.

VIGOROUS MASSAGE IS THE WAY TO GO -
Its simple, in order to obtain pain relief from chronic painful conditions a vigorous massage is the best way to go. massage.
The reason for this is that when your nerve sensors feel the new, strong sensations coming from the vigorous massage, they forget all about the old chronic body pain sensations.
The best part is results are almost felt immediately during the massage and last long term for days if not weeks.
