No, sorry. There are no OTC’s that come close. Have you tried a heating pad and some type of medicated rub? This usually works for stuff like this. Or you could see a Chiropractor.

I like advil myself (gel caps),,,,use hot pad for 15 minutes followed by cold pack,(alternate 2 or 3 times per session),,maybe 3 times a day. whatever you do,,,don’t re-strain it by lifting,,until it is healed,,and in the case of backstrain,,that can be a while (9 weeks),,depending on how severe your strain was.
Good luck,,,and next time,,,lift with your legs! never pivot while lifting!

The Golden Rule -
Ice for joints
Heat for muscle

take a hot shower. get a towel, dampen it with water, put in microwave get it hot and lay your back on it. use ice on it. Excedrin has been good for me but i have used them for so long that my stomach will not take it any more.

Honestly, I don’t think there is. You just have to let time heal it for you. Be more careful next time when you lift. Do not twist while lifting. That is what hurt your back . . . I am pretty sure of that. I had it twice in my life . . . It’s not anything to do with the amount of weight but the technique in which you lift the weight. Also, be careful how you fall asleep at night and don’t sleep too much on your front side unless you have a Sealy Posturpedic mattress . . . Seek medical advice. You have my sympathy.

Any of the stronger OTC medications will help, but I’d also recommend a rub down in the affected area with Ben-Gay cream. It comes in various types, and examples of it can be seen at the below link. Hope this helps.

Don’t know where you live but iboprofen gels are available in most pharmacies.
The own brand generics work as well as the more expensive named brands.
Ask your pharmacist they’re generally helpful people.
As an ageing gardener I always have a ready supply.
Won’t cure it but it will make it more comfortable

You may try traditional hot pad that contains herb inside. The herb will help relief your pain.
