I’m almost 31 weeks along and my back is beginning to bother me a lot. My hubby rubs my back in the evenings but that only seems to help for a few minutes. What are some safe and effective ways to help with back pain?

Back flexion exercise
While lying on one’s back, pull both knees to the chest while simultaneously flexing the head forward until a comfortable stretch is felt in a balled-up position.
Knee to Chest Stretch
While lying on the back with the knees bent and both heels on the floor, place both hands behind one knee and bring it to the chest.

I was told by my OB/GYN that Advil is safe for up to 35 weeks. Try a massage chair. A warm bath. Lay on the couch with your legs elevated.

take a nice warm bath (nothing over 100 degrees!) and just chill with your feet in the air to take some of the pressure off your lower back.
Remember to prop your knees with an additional pillow between them if you’re laying on your side.. this will help align your hips to the proper stance so it takes the pressure off the spine as well!
Massages are always beneficial.. even if they don’t take away the pain, it does a lot for your mental state just to have that relaxation!
*Edit*If you have pain during pregnancy, you may take Tylenol or acetaminophen up to 2 tablets or 650 mg every 4 hours. Do not take aspirin during your pregnancy unless instructed to do so by your physician.***

Invest in a maternity pillow! It helps your posture and takes off some of the weight so comfortable I couldn’t have lasted without mine I use it every day
